AM-GS Spwan

 Introduction

This is a short update to inform you that we will be releasing a second version of the ZOWIE AM with rubber paint on the top and smooth sides, an alternative to the original AM with full rubber paint. Having read various forums after the announcement of the AM, we understand that there is a need for an alternative to the full rubber paint version.

We are happy to bring you the ZOWIE AM-GS – and so is SpawN, as he was being teased by HeatoN for only having released one edition of his mouse, where HeatoN had released four.

HeatoN's EC-series

ZOWIE announces HeatoN's EC-series of mice

We introduce to you HeatoN's EC-series, including EC1-Black, EC1-White, EC2-Black, EC2-White.
FEATURES; in-depth

1.5 mm lift-off distance; lowest on the market to date

One of the primary features of the ZOWIE EC-series is the lift-off distance. Gamers often lift their mice when playing games, as they need to make swift movements to turn around quickly. A higher lift-off distance means the cursor will start to move earlier than the gamers anticipate, which will affect their aiming a lot. The lower the lift-off distance is, the easier it will be to get used to the feeling and anticipate where the cursor will land with each move. 12 months of extensive research and development on our own unique lens only used in the ZOWIE EC-series has made it possible to create the lowest lift-off distance currently available in any optical mouse on the market -  1.5 mm.

1,000Hz USB Report Rate - plug and play with 1.000Hz

Most optical mice are 125Hz which can be artificially raised to 500 – 1,000Hz through driver installations. The ZOWIE EC mice are the only optical mice which has 1,000 Hz from standard, without any installation of drivers. Gamers can use it anywhere and take their best performance with them, without having to download and install drivers. Just plug and play.

Improved mouse wheel

We have used an optical encoder instead of the cheaper traditional mechanical system and added a new optimized rolling system developed by ZOWIE, which ensures that our mouse wheel is the most durable and precise mouse wheel on the market today. We expect that the lifetime of our mouse wheel is longer than 5 years - unfortunately we haven't been able to put this to the test for 5 years, but we believe it is unbreakable.

DPI-adjustment

Adjusting DPI on the fly is not really an innovative feature, but we decided to put it on our mouse anyway, as we believe it's important for a gamer to be able to optimize his settings to create the perfect feeling when playing.

We have put the DPI-adjustment-button on the BOTTOM of the mouse, to avoid miss clicking it during an intensive game.

Two shapes - four mice

HeatoN's EC-series consist of four mice with the same features and specifications. The only difference is coating, color and size.

EC1 and EC2 black, has a rubber coating to increase the grip when holding.

EC1 and EC2 pure white, has the popular smooth coating which reduces sweaty palms.

SteelSeries Kinzu for cs 1.6

Introduction

It seems that SteelSeries are trying to force themselves into this market with the Kinzu mouse, priced at €34.99 this mouse costs about half as much as many of the new laser based gaming mice. The release of the Kinzu optical gaming mouse just proves that SteelSeries is still keen on pleasing the FPS gaming crowd that adores optical sensors. Some might think that optical sensors are obsolete compared to the newer high performance laser sensors, and to some degree they are. Even the most advanced optical sensors can only track up to about 50 inches per second and keep track at about 20 G acceleration, whereas some laser mice should yield coherent tracking at upwards 150 inches per second and 30 G respectively. This relatively large gap is not the end of performance as many gamers still prefer the relatively cheap Logitech MX-518, Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 / 1.1 on a good mat.

How to Do Bunny Hop in Counter Strike !

Steps for Bunny Hop :

  • Move forward by pressing "W" key for initial momentum.
  • now Unpress/RELEASE the 'w' key press the strafe key (D or A) and move your mouse in the direction of the strafe (ie: if 'A' move mouse left in a little arc or if 'D' move mouse right by say 30 degrees) + JUMP (spacebar)
  • This will cause a forward curved jump , in the left or right direction( Now on you must not use W key to move forward).
  • When your just about to land after the first jump, hit the opposite strafe key and curve your mouse in the same direction of your strafe and hit jump EXACTLY when you land after the first jump. Doing this a little too early or little too late will cut the bunny hop
  • IF You got the timing and mouse movement (synchronised)right you will quickly move forward faster, and you will need to repeat Steps 2 to 4 repeatedly.
  • Watch the video below to make thing more clear.

A lot of people ask us about our Counter-Strike 1.6 players configuration and PC performance settings. Today we've finally decided to reveal the secret and to show how it really looks like. To do so, we simply filmed Yegor "markeloff" Markelov preparing for the official match. The video was recorded at DreamHack Summer 2012 tournament and features the actual configuration our player uses.

If you like the video, please share and also let us know your feedback. We plan to continue the initiative and record other Na`Vi players doing game / PC / software configuration with detailed descriptions and explanations. To sum it up, simply write what would you like to see and we will definitely do it for you! ;)
